It is usually used to bring a unique flavor to vegan dishes, or just simply drizzled over sautéed vegetables.


Umeboshi can also be made into a tea.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of Kukicha tea

• I umeboshi plum, pitted and shredded

• 2-3 drops of coconut amino's

• 1 slice of fresh ginger


Directions:

  1. Bring kukicha tea to a boil, and then remove from heat.

  2. Stir in umeboshi plums, coconut, amino's, and fresh ginger.

  3. Steep for two minutes before serving and then enjoy.

I'm so happy you like this info Liz. I learned about these plums from my functional nutrition teachers

,whose husband was Japanese and was battling liver cancer. She talked about the phenomenal benefits. I have to admit I only tried them recently, and they're such a great addition to my nutrition plan! Let me know how you like them!
