About the Event

Not only is yoga great for our bodies but it's also great for our mind and spirit too! Join us for this FREE introduction class, March 17. A 6-week session will begin on March 24.

Class structure will combine strategies from Subtle (slow) Yoga, Somatic Yoga and mudra and meditation practice, focusing on muscle and core strengthening, balance, focus,  and functional mobility. Slow, mindful movements encourage improvements in circulation, mobility and flexibility, correct misalignment habits, release tensions and thought patterns in the body, while strengthening muscle and joints.

All levels are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Activities may be modified and practiced either seated and/or lying down. Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. A yoga mat and water to drink are necessary. It’s best not to eat a large meal at least 30 minutes prior to class unless medically necessary.

Facilitated by Kristin Hayes - Kris is a yoga teacher and student, nonprofit professional, mother, daughter, sister, writer, hiker, spiritual seeker and lifelong learner. She is also a breast cancer survivor and thriver.  Kris was diagnosed with bi-lateral breast cancer in April 2020. Yoga, family and friends helped her make it to the other side of diagnosis and treatment. She embraces a whole foods plant based diet, supplement regimen, and movement practice and lives in the Seattle, Washington area. Kris has completed two 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) trainings, plus several continuing education classes and has been teaching in person and online for 11 years.

Time: 8:00-9:00am PT / 9:00-10:00am MT / 10:00-11:00am CT / 11:00-12:00pm ET
