About the Event
Community and connection is a key aspect of health and wellness. Gather together for our monthly gathering to enjoy the gifts and talents of the Health Navigators and our inspired community members.
Did you know there are over 200 studies confirming the health benefits of writing? Using Sandra Marinella’s book, “The Story You Need to Tell”, as our guide, we will dive into the science and practice of expressive writing as a healing tool.
During our time together, we will learn about our brain, how it processes events, and how writing can uniquely help us derive meaning from our life experiences. We will learn about the 5 stages of writing to heal, as well as, hear stories from people who have used writing to transform their personal narratives. If time allows, we will practice what we learn.
No writing experience necessary!
